Germany Blog | A Family Reunion in Christ
Revelation 7:9-16
After this I looked, and behold, a great multitude that no one could number, from every nation, from all tribes and peoples and languages, standing before the throne and before the Lamb, clothed in white robes, with palm branches in their hands, 10 and crying out with a loud voice, “Salvation belongs to our God who sits on the throne, and to the Lamb!” 11 And all the angels were standing around the throne and around the elders and the four living creatures, and they fell on their faces before the throne and worshiped God, 12 saying, “Amen! Blessing and glory and wisdom and thanksgiving and honor and power and might be to our God forever and ever! Amen.”

Honestly, it feels like i’m experiencing this to the smallest degree on a random week in October in the middle of Germany. And yet, this is still a shadow of the glory to come.
We are here in Germany, on behalf of The Corners Chapel, leading worship at the Ambassadors Football Global conference. With 130+ people representing 30+ countries, ambassadors coaches are gathered here to be encouraged, unified, and be apart of some new organizational changes to the ministry. Many of these coaches haven’t seen each other in a while, and so it feels like i’m experiencing a family reunion — with this family in Christ that is strong than any other bond.
While I don’t do anything with Ambassadors Football, this experience is still invaluable. Their voices carry louder than anything I’ve heard. In a small chapel, the voices of saints in multiple languages singing “How Great is our God” and “How Great Thou Art” is something I’ll never forget. Some of these people in ministry have and are experiencing immense hardship — in their home, ministries, health. But their “heart will choose to say ‘Lord blessed be your name.’”
There is nothing like meeting brothers and sisters around the globe. Hearing their stories and gleaning from your wisdom and life experience is so eye opening. If you don’t know believers across the globe, you gotta. You’ll remember the mission of the church and be reminded of a God who is ALWAYS working — everywhere.
What a good God who uses a universal sport (soccer) as an avenue to spread the Gospel ALL over the globe. What a kind Father who brings peace and healing in His presence. What a powerful King who brings unity through His blood!
This has been one of the most humbling honors to be here. Excited to see how God continues to use Ambassadors to make disciples of all nations through soccer! I am reminded how what God is doing here in Germany this week is just as important as what He is doing in Mozambique, South Africa, Nordonia, and all the corners of the earth.
