Publicly declare your new life in Christ.
Baptism is the act of publicly declaring you are a Christ follower. When you go down into the waters of baptism, it is symbolic of being nailed to the cross with Jesus. When you rise out of the waters, it’s symbolic of Jesus’ resurrection, in which He defeated sin, death, and evil. You are now alive in Jesus Christ.
Baptism is not necessary for salvation, but it is an important aspect of being a Christ follower. Jesus commanded that His disciples be baptized in the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit (Matthew 28:18–20).

Want to be baptized?
Each year, we gather as a church family at the shores of Lake Erie for one of the most meaningful events of the year: Baptism Sunday.
This special day is a time of celebration, worship, and public declaration of faith as individuals take the next step in their walk with Jesus.
There’s something truly powerful about standing on the shore with our church family, witnessing lives transformed by the gospel in such a beautiful setting. After the baptisms, we enjoy a time of fellowship and community together, making it a day to remember.
We haven’t announced the date yet for our 2025 Baptism Sunday, but if you’re interested in being baptized or learning more, we’d love to hear from you! You can email us at info@thecornerschapel.com or reach out to our elders at elders@thecornerschapel.com.
