God is bigger than our problems.
Hey Corners Chapel Family,
Welcome to Day One of our 21 Days of Prayer! My hope is that over these next few weeks, we’ll all grow deeper in our relationship with Jesus in a unique way.
As a reminder, each morning at 8:30 AM, you’ll receive a notification with a brief reflection, a short Bible reading, and a prayer from one of our church members. This is a way to align our hearts together in a season that can often be divisive.
REFLECTION
For today’s reflection, I want to share about a meeting I had just yesterday afternoon. Through a mutual pastor friend, I was introduced to a man named Asher, who recently moved to the United States from Pakistan. He remains actively involved as a ministry leader for an underground church in Pakistan. Asher and I met and exchanged stories of God's faithfulness in our lives. He and his family started a ministry about ten years ago that is exploding throughout the country as they've seen thousands of people come to saving faith in Jesus!

As we start our 21 Days of Prayer, let’s focus on the global nature of our faith. It’s easy to get caught up in the challenges we face in our own lives, communities, and nation, and those problems are real. I don't want to discount them. But let’s remember that God is moving in ways beyond our comprehension all over the world!
Yesterday, in service, my sister Ariana reminded us that the same God we worship is the same God being worshiped around the world and the same God we read about in the Old Testament.
What an incredible reminder for our week ahead!
The God who will see us through this week is the same God who parted the Red Sea, created everything, and deeply cares for us. He's moving in Pakistan, and he's moving in Northeast, Ohio. Trust Him today. He's bigger than our problems.
Let’s reflect on these truths as we read from Isaiah 40.
SCRIPTURE
28 Have you not known? Have you not heard?
The Lord is the everlasting God,
the Creator of the ends of the earth.
He does not faint or grow weary;
his understanding is unsearchable.
29 He gives power to the faint,
and to him who has no might he increases strength.
30 Even youths shall faint and be weary,
and young men shall fall exhausted;
31 but they who wait for the Lord shall renew their strength;
they shall mount up with wings like eagles;
they shall run and not be weary;
they shall walk and not faint.
-ISAIAH 40:28-31
PRAYER
Father, thank you for this opportunity for our church to grow in faith through prayer. Thank you for continuing to open doors for us to connect with the global church.
Lord, today I lift up Asher and his family. Keep them safe, and allow the Gospel to continue spreading in Pakistan. Lord, may the truth that you are a global God encourage us in our own lives. When we begin to worry about our own problems, remind us of your sovereignty. Help us to rest in you.
In Jesus' name, I pray,
Amen.

Praying for Asher and his family and the work of the Gospel in Pakistan.
Amazing that you can both share about God’s faithfulness even though you and Asher come from totally different backgrounds. A reminder that God is in all the corners of the world!
