Day 15: Wheels Up...Again

As I'm writing this, we're about to leave for the airportin Cape Town as we begin our journey home.

If you're reading this shortly after it goes live, we're probably already in the air. Our flight leaves Cape Town at 7:55 PM local time, and Lord willing, we'll arrive back in the United States around 5:00 AM, before finally landing in Cleveland at 10:00 AM.

It's hard to believe those words are already true.

Today started by saying goodbye to Gaby and Maggie.  They're on their way to Rwanda, where they'll spend the next couple of weeks serving alongside ministry partners there. We'll let them tell that story themselves when the time comes, but we're excited to see what God has in store for them.

The rest of us  spent one last day together exploring Cape Town. We rode the cable car to the top of Table Mountain, where the weather was much colder than we expected. But once we reached the top, the view made us forget all about the wind.

Every direction reminded us of the greatness of God. The mountains, the ocean, and the city below all declared what Psalm 19 has been saying all along: "The heavens declare the glory of God, and the sky above proclaims his handiwork." After two weeks of watching God move through churches, pastors, children, villages, and new friendships, it felt fitting to end our time by standing in awe of the Creator Himself.

Tomorrow afternoon, Lord willing, I'll share one final blog after I've had a chance to catch my breath, unpack  bags, and reflect on everything God has done.

But before we land this series, we wanted to pause for just a moment.

In the Day 1 blog, I asked each member of our team two simple questions before we left.

What are you most excited about? and What is one prayer request you have for this trip?

Now we're standing on the other side of the journey.

The airports are familiar again, and the passports are a little more worn.

So, before we head home, I asked everyone one more question:

Now that the trip is over, what's one more thing you want to say to everyone reading the blog?

Here are their answers.
